Our Blast Director is a combination 3 port muzzle brake and a removable threaded shroud, that when installed, forces all muzzle blast forward. The shroud greatly reduces the overpressure felt by the shooter and anyone standing to the sides. The closed design of the shroud also prevents kicking up dust, dirt, or gravel when in prone positions. The large side ports and two small top ports on the brake do an excellent job of mitigating recoil and muzzle rise. And unlike competing blast forwarders, these benefits still function with the shroud installed. Our Blast Director mimics the look of a sound suppressor, but without any of the restrictions associated with suppressors (non-NFA item), and it is designed to fit under the end of the handguard for that “tucked” look. This is a great muzzle device for rifles, AR pistols, and featureless rifles in restricted states. Chambered in 9mm with 1/2-28 threads. Compatible with .357 caliber also. The length of the muzzle brake is perfect to bring a 14.5 inch barrel out to 16+ inches to help you meet minimum length regulations when permanently attached. The bottom of the brake is pre-drilled (blind hole) to make this process easier. The brake is precision machined from a hardened 416 stainless steel which is highly corrosion resistant and very strong. The shroud is machined from seamless carbon steel tube to be able to withstand high lateral pressure. Both parts come in a black nitride finish for ultimate durability and corrosion resistance. This is a muzzle brake and blast shield, not a flash hider, not a suppressor. Made in USA!
